Policies
- Bookings at By Kaylee can only be made on receipt of a deposit. The deposit amount will be stated at the time of booking.
- Salon appointments that are cancelled or rearranged with more than 48 hours notice will be eligible for refund or credit of the deposit paid.
- Salon appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will result in loss of the deposit paid, and a new deposit will be required to rebook.
- Failure to attend an appointment without notice this will be recorded as a ‘No Show’.
- Failure to attend a patch test may result in the treatment being cancelled and recorded as a No Show.
- After one No Show the deposit required to book may increase to 50% of the treatment price, and future bookings may be placed on hold or cancelled until a new deposit is paid.
- After more than one No Show, the deposit required to rebook may increase to 100% of the treatment price, and/or future bookings may be cancelled, or you may be refused future service at By Kaylee.
- If you are late to your appointment I will do my best to accommodate, but in some cases the appointment may need to be cancelled or rescheduled. If that happens the deposit will be lost and a new deposit will be required to rebook. This may also be recorded as a No Show, at the discretion of By Kaylee.
- If you are repeatedly late to appointments your deposit amount may increase, or you may be refused future services.
Patch tests are required for insurance and safety purposes. It must be carried out at least 24 hours prior to your appointment for the following treatments:
- Henna Brows
- Hybrid Tint
- Classic Tint (lash or brow)
- Brow Lamination
- Lash Lift
For:
- All first time clients to By Kaylee, even if you have had the treatment elsewhere.
- If more than six months has passed since your last treatment.
- If there has been a significant change to your medical history or ongoing medication.
- If By Kaylee changes the product that we use, in which case you will be informed and invited for a new patch test.
If you fail to attend a patch test, the treatment will not be able to be carried out.
I may sometimes take photographs and/or record video, before, during or after any treatment, I will always ask your permission before taking any photographs or recording video and you are not obliged to allow it.
In most cases, where your face or facial features are shown, I will also show you the client, any images, video, edits or clips before using your image publicly, and request further written consent before I do so, however in some rare cases it may not be possible and the photograph or an edited image, clip or video may still be used. Clients will never be named or ‘tagged’ without written consent.
Possible uses for images and/or video recorded during a treatment may include but are not limited to:
- Social media or blog posts
- Gallery of work on my website at ByKaylee.uk or thelittletrainingsalon.com, social media profiles under the usernames bykaylee.uk or thelittletrainingsalon, or online business directories.
- Use in advertisements or promotional material for the purpose of selling or promoting my treatments and services or training courses, i.e. sponsored posts on social media, paid advertisements online, leaflets, posters, fliers etc.
- Private training purposes for paying students or staff members.
I will not name or ‘tag’ any person or client without written consent.
If you wish for any recognisable image, social media tag or use of your name to be removed from public use use at any time, even after prior consent, please send a written request to info@bykaylee.uk
- Gift cards and vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash value.
- Treatment or retail vouchers can only be redeemed for the named treatments and/or products, as stated.
- Vouchers and gift cards are valid between the dates specified, unused vouchers are not eligible for refund.
- Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or voucher
- In the event that the business is permanently closed, any remaining balance on valid and in-date gift cards or vouchers may be eligible for refund.
- When purchasing a gift voucher please ensure the recipients address is entered correctly, we cannot be held responsible if the address is entered incorrectly and the gift voucher is delivered to and/or used by someone other than the intended recipient.
- We are not responsible for vouchers lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
- Lash lift or brow lamination minimum age is 18.
- Acrylic nails minimum age is 16 with parental consent,
- Any tint or henna treatment minimum age is 1 6 with parental consent.
- Gel polish minimum age is 14 with parental consent and that parent or guardian must be present for the treatment, until the child turns 16.
- Brow wax minimum age is 12 with parental consent and that parent or guardian must be present for the treatment, until the child turns 16.
- Mini manicure minimum age is 10 with parental consent and that parent or guardian must be present for the treatment, until the child turns 16. This treatment may be altered slightly depending on the age of the recipient
Anyone over 18 can have any treatment. If you are between 16 and 18 you will require signed consent by a parent or guardian for most treatments.
Under 16’s will require signed consent and the parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the treatment.
- The date of your wedding or event will not be secured until the deposit has been paid in full.
- Deposits are fully refundable up to 14 days prior to a wedding or group booking. Cancellations made within the 14 day period may result in part or all of the deposit being lost, covering the cost of the losses incurred by By Kaylee, where we are unable to re-sell your appointment.
- The minimum number for people for a wedding or group booking where I am required to travel to your location is 3 adults. Groups or weddings with less than 3 adults will be charged the minimum fee equivalent to 3 adults.
- The maximum number of people I am able to service in one booking is 6.
